THE WINDOW BOX GALLERY
A Greenwich Workshop Authorized Dealer
This site was created to record the posts of The Window Box Gallery. I was a big fan of this site and was checking in periodically to see updated posts. One day the site was gone from the website. I am assuming that the domain registration had expired.
Recently I discovered that the domain was available, so I bought it with the goal of recreating some of its original content from archived pages.
I definitely didn't want someone else purchasing the domain and re-purposing it for something that had nothing in common with the original Window Box Gallery posts and the purpose of the original website. I wanted to keep the spirit of the original website intact. There were lots of good memories here. So enjoy rereading some of the original posts. I did. Although I would suggest that you not be drinking some red wine and holding a young toddler in your lap at the same time. I did that and ended up spilling the entire glass of red wine on our antique oriental rug. My wife just about freaked out. Red wine!! Fortunately, a quick web search ("rug cleaning in Manhattan") brought me to oriental rug cleaning company - the Agara rug cleaning company - now our rug care specialists of choice. Boy, were we lucky to find this family run business that specializes in oriental rugs. Not only was Haim, one of the owners, at our condo that afternoon, he was confident that the stain could be removed. In addition, he suggested that we should have his rug restorers repair the fringe which our vacuum cleaner decided to eat a while ago. Plus we could get the rug moth proofed for added protection. The clincher was that they would use eco friendly, organic cleaning detergent which, with a small child and animals, was important to us. Agara won our vote hands down. The rug looked just great when it was returned and even smelled good! Although the original website is gone, this archive version permits fans like me to continue to enjoy the site and reminisce. Enjoy!

James C. Christensen
|
James C. Christensen is inspired by the world's myths, fables and tale s of imagination, Christensen wants his work to add up to more than a beautiful-if sometimes "curious"-looking work of art. Recently retired as a professor of art at Brigham Young University for over 20 years, Christensen continues to be a "professor of Imagination." Viewing the world as his classroom, his hope is that through whatever he creates be it a fine art print, porcelain or book he can convey a message, inspiration or a simple laugh. He believes that teaching people to use their imagination helps us find solutions to sooth the stresses of everyday life or get a little lift to help us keep going. In short: all things are possible when you share Christensen's philosophy that Believing is Seeing." |

Bev Doolittle
|
Bev Doolittle is synonymous with the word "camouflage art." nevertheless, it has always been the stories and ideas behind Bev's art which have intrigued and challenged her the most, remaining adamant that her use of camouflage is a means to an end (to slow down the viewing and storytelling process) and not an end in itself. Always and innovator, Bev has created a new, interactive format in visual storytelling. And she's even added a new twist to the use of "camouflage" to slowly reveal a hidden message. |
